When can we take the painted ceramic piece home?

The firing process takes about 4 days during which time:

• the piece is left to dry over-night;
• it is glazed and left to dryagain;
• the glaze is smoothed over and the piece loaded into the kiln;
• the firing is a 24 hour cycle by the time the kiln reaches it's full heat and then cooled slowly (for best results);
• the piece is unloaded from the kiln and checked for any cracks or abnormalities which are all part of the "nature of ceramics"
• your piece is then matched to the description on your docket and wrapped ready for pick-up.
