Retirement Villages

A ceramic painting session at Paint The Earth is a great social activity for Retirees to interact and inspire some creativity.

Retirement Village groups are welcome any time during our usual opening hours subject to availability, with most choosing a week day which are a bit quieter that the weekends.

We have a large studio in Rosedale which seats 90 people over two levels and your group will be seated all together. With the large ground floor space we have it is a great option for your group to meet up with plenty of room for wheelchairs and walkers. Passenger vans can even drive right up to our back door for dry, flat and level access for those with limited mobility, walkers, or in wheelchairs. We also have solid high back chairs and conventional height tables for ease of use and comfort while painting.

Your groups painting session will be self-paced as we do not have any specific start times, hence it is simply a case of booking a day and time that suits then our friendly team will talk you through the process and will also be right on hand the whole time to help out as required. We usually allow a duration of up to 3 hours, but this can be extended if we are quiet.

Our pricing is simply based on the individual ceramic pieces that are chosen to paint; there are no other class fees or per person price for our casual bookings. Our prices are all inclusive of the chosen piece, paint supplies, tips & tricks from our team, glazing and kiln firing, then your finished pieces will be ready to collect two weeks later.

While we do have a lot of conventional underglaze paints and brushes, we also have a many other tools and painting options; such as sponges, masking tapes and dotting tools; that may assist those customers with less dexterity in the hands and fingers that they used to have. We also have numerous painted examples of ceramics, from very simple to very detailed, to offer inspiration on designs, layouts and colour combinations no matter what your skill level is. And our friendly team will be right on hand the whole time too with tips & tricks and to help out as required.

Food is not allowed into the studio during our casual bookings, purely as a quality issue as we want you all to achieve great results for your painted ceramic pieces. Non-alcoholic drinks including coffee, juice, soft drink & water are all fine in the studio though.
